WHY WE BUILT GROFORMA

We saw the same pattern repeat.

Groforma was built by people who have worked across real estate, finance, technology, product, and community development. We saw firsthand that good local projects fail, not because they’re bad ideas, but because the system was never designed for them. We built Groforma to give local developers a standardized path from opportunity to execution.

Groforma helps local developers turn community priorities and underutilized sites into feasible, fundable, wealth-generating developments.

We believe the people who know their neighborhoods should have the tools and capital pathways to build there, and to participate in the value their work creates.

Good local projects fail early because the process is fragmented, critical assumptions are difficult to test, and small teams lack the infrastructure large developers take for granted.

Rachel Wilka

Rachel is an experienced leader with a background in technology and real estate. She has spent her career helping complex systems work better for the people most impacted by them, most recently supporting large-scale housing platforms and mission-driven development teams. As co-founder and CEO of Groforma, Rachel brings legal rigor, systems thinking, and a values-driven approach to building tools that expand access to development, ownership, and long-term community stability.

Rob Britton

Rob is a seasoned strategist with a background in finance, operations, and scaling early-stage ventures. He has worked across consulting, real estate, and impact-driven organizations, helping teams turn complex ideas into durable, executable systems. At Groforma, Rob focuses on operations, capital strategy, and building the financial and organizational infrastructure that allows community-led development to succeed at scale.

As co-founder and Chief Product Officer at Groforma, Debo leads platform architecture and product development, ensuring the tools are powerful, trustworthy, and accessible to developers and community partners alike.
